How information is used when you visit TripDip, the settings you can manage, and how to use our travel information.
Privacy and data use
Information you provide
You can browse destinations and many tools without an account. When you sign in, we process your email, name, profile image and account identifiers from your sign-in provider to create your account and maintain your session. You may also provide a profile, home city, contact details, saved destinations, trip dates and packing lists to use the corresponding features.
Public content and sharing
Community posts and public profile information may be visible to other visitors. Contact cards are shared with accepted travel companions according to your visibility setting. Anyone with a shared packing-list link can view that list. Do not put identity documents, payment details or another person's personal information without permission into public content or shared lists.
Cookies, browser storage and analytics
We use cookies to maintain sign-in sessions and browser storage to remember your departure region and tool settings. Clearing them may sign you out or reset preferences. Pages with Google Analytics enabled also collect browsing and usage information to understand site performance. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Service providers
Vercel hosts the site, Neon stores account and feature data, and Resend sends sign-in emails and reminders. If you choose Google sign-in, Google processes sign-in information under its own policy; Google also provides analytics where enabled. These providers may process data outside your location and may record connection information for operation and security.
Managing your information
While signed in, you can edit your profile and contact-card visibility and manage saved destinations, trips, posts and lists through the relevant features. Turning off a reminder stops its subsequent notifications but does not delete your account. Clearing browser data does not delete information stored on our servers.
Website terms of use
Using travel information
TripDip provides travel inspiration and planning information. Prices, exchange rates, rankings, weather, flight and holiday information may be delayed, estimated or subject to change. They are not live quotes or guarantees. Confirm applicable information with airlines, suppliers or official authorities before booking or travelling. Sources and calculation limits are explained on our methodology page.
Accounts, content and other users
Keep your sign-in methods secure and submit only content you have permission to use. Do not use the site for fraud, harassment, impersonation, privacy infringement or disruption of the service. Community content comes from users; matching with a travel companion does not mean TripDip has verified their identity or guarantees their safety.
External services and updates
Third-party links and services have their own terms and privacy policies. TripDip's features, information and this notice may change; this page displays its update date. Nothing here excludes rights protected by applicable law.
